************************************************************************* 61011 The nature of unidentified Galactic gamma-ray sources remains a central puzzle in high energy astrophysics. We propose here exposures of three EGRET error boxes to complete the X-ray survey of flux-limited sample of galactic GeV sources in the southern sky. These GeV source have error boxes small enough for ASCA, and have hard spectra similar to known gamma-ray pulsars. ASCA's spectral sensitivity and modest spatial resolution provides the key observations to select any pulsar source responsible for the GeV emission with detection of pulsar powered nebula. Correlative studies in the radio allow us to exclude AGN and other proposed models. These data will greatly advance the identification of the galactic plane sources as a class. TeV and radio follow-ups are planed for counterparts. *************************************************************************
