************************************************************************* 63005 We propose to observe two well known, X-ray bright dMe flare stars, Wolf 630 and EV Lac. Neither of them has been observed so far with ASCA, yet they are ideal targets, thanks also to the coming availability of their SAX observations, for the study of the temperature structures, as well as for the coronal abundance patterns, in this class of stars in which coronal activity reaches its most extreme levels compared to their modest optical luminosity. The proposed observations will allow sufficient statistics to be accumulated to allow a detailed analysis in terms of loop models, as well as to put solid constraints (together with the recent reliable photospheric analyses of M dwarfs photospheric abundance) on the presence of eventual coronal abundance anomalies. *************************************************************************
