****************************************************** PR # 68 This SNR is the second brightest X-ray source in the SMC. Its Einstein HRI image looks like a thick ring with an outer radius of 19" and radial thickness of 6.3". The Einstein IPC detects a single emissionline of energy about 0.9 keV. Because of a single narrow emission line, and the optical spectrum that shows no evidence for heavier elements than neon, it seems that the emission comes dominantly from a pure neon plasma. In order to confirm or reject this idea, high resolution and broad band spectrum is required. ******************************************************
