   The scientific goals are to obtain the best spatial resolved spectrum
   of theregion around ETA CAR and to make the origin of X-ray emissions
   clear. Someealry stars around ETA CAR and ETA CAR itself were
   identified with X-ray pointsources by the Einstein observatory and the
   diffuse nebura was also detected. Although Ginga gave the best
   spectrum of the region above the Einstein energyband,it is hard to
   combine these data and to get the nature of each object. ETACAR
   espatially requires a spectroscopy at hard energies. The origine of
   thediffuse X-ray emission is also interesing (e.g. proposed to be a
   SNR). Maincalibration goal is the spectroscopy of point sources in a
   diffuse source.
