************************************************************************* 71002 The Chamaeleon cloud is one of the most famous star forming regions, which consists of three dark clouds, Cha I, Cha II, and Cha III. We have made observations of Cha I and Cha II and detected 29 and 8 Pre- main-sequence (PMS) stars from Cha I and Cha II, respectively. Luminosities of sources in Cha II are larger than those of Cha I. Now we thought that magnetic activity of PMS star is origin of X-rays, how about Cha III? So we propose an observation of Cha III. Comparing with Cha I and II, we can get further knowledge of PMS stars. Moreover, there could be some protostars, and detection of them gives us precious information. *************************************************************************
