************************************************************************* 71028 The hard X-ray emission region of magnetic cataclysmic variables is optically thick for the resonance scattering of iron K emission lines, although it is thin for the continuum emission. By means of a phase- resolved spectroscopy of the line and the continuum, we can constrain geometrical parameters of the emission region such as a height and a width. These parameters are important to investigate accretion geometry around Alfven radius, and also to fully understand the cooling process in the post shock accretion column. For this purpose, we propose a 60ksec observation of V834 Cen. *************************************************************************
