************************************************************************* 71165 It has become clear that the merging process between clusters of galaxies plays a crucial role in the evolution of them. In order to investigate the evolution of clusters, it is important to observe clusters in various stages of merging. We propose to observe two irregular clusters, Abell 2214 (z=0.161) and Abell 1569 (z=0.0784) with ASCA. These clusters show a strong correlation between the orientaion of the radio galaxy tails and the direction of X-ray elongations within the core of the clusters. Since ASCA has good energy and moderate spatical resolution in wide band, we will measure spatial distributions of temparature and metalicity in the clusters. *************************************************************************
