************************************************************************* 72127 It has long been thought that the shape of the ionizing continuum of AGN should have an effect on its emission line ratios. In particular, the O VI to Lyalpha ratio should be especially sensitive; O VI should be strong when the optical-UV-soft X-ray continuum is hard. The narrow- line Seyfert 1 galaxy RE 1034+39 has the hardest spectral energy distribution known among AGN and thus should have a huge O VI line. We were awarded a FUSE observation of RE 1034+39 to test this. We intend to take full advantage of the rare opportunity offered by the FUSE observation by obtaining coordinated multiwavelength coverage which will be used for photoionization and continuum modeling. A 20 ks ASCA observation is proposed to obtain the X-ray flux and spectrum. *************************************************************************
