************************************************************************* 72132 We propose an 80 ks ASCA observation of the nearby Seyfert 2 galaxy NGC 6300. An RXTE observation, revealing a huge equivalent width iron line and a flat X-ray continuum, leads us to believe that NGC 6300 may be one of the brightest reflection-dominated Seyfert 2 galaxies known, with 2-10 keV flux 60% that of Circinus. The proposed observation will allow us to confirm a reflection-dominated spectrum, search for the presence of scattered or thermal soft X-rays, study elemental abundances, and investigate the possibility of intrinsic absorption. *************************************************************************
