************************************************************************* 73001 We propose observation of three well known, dMe single flare stars, spanning a factor of 100 in their quiescent X-ray flux. These observations will allow study of 1) the frequency of large and small flares, 2) the frequency-intensity relation, specially at the ``bright end'', and 3) the (possible) dependence of the flare frequency on quiescent X-ray luminosity. Recent observations of very large flares on dMe stars show large coronal mass ejections; a determination of the frequency of such events is critical for assessing their (possibly large) contribution to the chemical equilibrium of the interstellar medium. The detailed study of flaring events detected during the campaign will allow the sampling of extreme coronal conditions in a way not possible in other single stars. *************************************************************************
