Abstract
Strong finges for HALCA up to ~23:30, weak fringes/no detection afterwards. The calibrator source cannot be used for amplitude calibration as only two station observed 1622-297. The standard Difmap program was used for imaging. Data processing/imaging was done in cooperation with Sandor Frey at the Satellite Geodetic Observatory, Hungary. |

Several attempts to find fringes with 2-4 minute solution times. SNR limit was not applied at the end. We seemed to find fringes, however, POSSM plots showed only noise for most of the baselines (especially for HALCA). After careful checking of the KRING message files we realized that solutions were "corrupted" in the LS cycle. Test runs with FRING and the previous version of KRING (15OCT98) showed that KRING 15APR99 gives the delay and rate value for HALCA with the wrong sign. This bad value cause the problems in the LS step. (Results for two test runs can be found in SN.8 and SN.9. These were created with KRING version 15OCT98 and 15APR99, respectively. Input parameters were the same.) |
