Abstract
Phase solutions are pretty crap. But the signal is strong, so a startmod on a 1 minute timescale is required.

1 minutes selfcal.

Tingay model fits well, with a increase in flux of 1.0/0.7. This value matches the values from UMRAO (tho the time range does not overlap). Also I reckon the he did not correct for Penticton scale errors. The Hobart/Mop baseline is high, the short baseline structure is complex. I have put in a narrow (non-physical) elliptical gaussian

The pre-launch fits pretty well, but underestimates the VSOP baselines. The jet axis is correct.

J0811+01 flux is 0.5Jy, which is reasonable from UMRAO data.
