Abstract
Data extraction from experiment W001e. AT light curves gave a zero spacing flux of about 0.6 Jy around December 1999 (about a year before this observation). Source was highly variable...3 years earlier it had a zero spacing flux of about 1.6 Jy. |

For Halca used a Tsys of 88K, 92K. Used nominal Tsys and DPFU values for the AT and Mp. As far as I could tell all 6 antennas in the AT participated in the experiment. Hh had Tsys values supplied.

Input: Ty(1) + GC(1) | |
UVFLG | OPCODE = REAS REASON 'NO PRC/LOW DVAL' |
Needed to unflag the NO PRC/LOW DVAL data... as per the piletter most of this data was ok. |
CLCAL | OPCODE = CALP INTERPOL = '2PT' REFANT 4 (Mp) |
Used Mp as refant for now, since it had the most "good" solutions in the Penticton DQA1 report. |

TBIN |
Changed MNTSTA entries in the AN table. Changed Halca from 3 to 2, and changed all other antennas to 0.
TBIN |
Read in DQA1 delay and rate solutions using antenna 4 (Mp) as the reference antenna. antenna. Note: had to do lots of modifications to the SN table before it was read in, since there were many cases where there were good solutions for one IF, but not for the other. This caused CLCAL to do unpredicable things when it interpolated.

UVFLG | OPCODE = REAS REASON = 'NO PRC/LOW DVAL' |
Need to unedit some of the NO PRC/LOW DVAL flags before running FRING, since otherwise half of the Mp data is flagged out. |

Lots of problems to determine gain corrections. Data for calibrator J2148+06 was out by a factor of 10, and was inconsistent with the other data... did not use to determine the gain correction factors. No AT or UMRAO single dish observations of the source around the obs time. Small spacing flux for calibrator J0050-09 lower than PLS flux by about a factor of 7.5. For J0050-06 Hh-AT and Hh-Mp baselines should have almost been identical, but were out by about a factor of 4 and 8 for IFs 1 and 2. Made the assumption J0050-06 was still unresolved as it was in the PLS, and with the PLS flux of 1.5Jy. Added the the sqrt(2) gain factor then made successive CLCOR corrections to further modify the antenna gains. |

Input file: VS06K.UVSRT, Output file: J2358-10.FITS Looked at DIFMAP solutions in three cases, with only DQA1 TBIN solutions, with DQA1 solutions but then fringed with solint=2, and with DQA1 solutions but then fringed with solint=5. Second case was the worst (fewer solutions were found). Had marginally better luck without fringing with solint=5, so split with the CL table that had no fringing done (ie: CL(3), which was copied to CL(6)). |

No gscale applied. Had to play with uvtaper a lot in order to get sufficient flux on the short baselines. |
