Summary

Observation code : VS07c    AIPS Version : 15OCT99
Date of Observation : 1999/205    Difmap Version : 2.3c
Source Name : J2236+28    vsop_difmap used : Yes
Calibration Source(s) : 2251+158
Ground telescopes : HH, NT  Model Fitted to data : Yes
Tracking Station(s) : TZ    Image made : Yes
Correlator : Penticton

Abstract
1. Three hours of good data with NT, HH, VSOP. No TR.

2. Weak fringes on source. Several step process in calibration, removed offset delay and rate, fringe detection with 15-min solution, phase detection with 2-min on NT, 7-min on VSOP (HH ref)

3. Obtained gain factor for HH and NT using consistency with ground at 110 Mlambda with calibrator and source.

4. HH factor 34; NT factor 34, assuming VSOP at 120. No better then about 20 percent.

EBF-OCT11_2005

Imaging/model abit ambiguous. VLBApls shows extended structure to west, so 'guided' model that way. Imaging gives the e/w lumps without trying.

core size <0.20. weak, but probably real

Comments
FRING solint=5
dparm = 2, 4000, 2000, 0.5

Found fringes in 20\% of experiment
FRING solint=5
dparm = 2, 1000, 1000, 0.5
timer 1 1 15 0 1 1 21 0

VSOP delay about 595 nsec, rate -30 mHz.
CLCAL solint=5
dparm = 2, 4000, 2000, 0.5

Applied offset in SN2 table.
FRING solint=15
dparm = 2, 1000, 100, 2

Best fring fit with 15-min. SN1 has 10min, SN2 has 5min
SNEDT/SNCOR

SN4 filtered out a few bad points. SN5 zero the phase.
CLCAL interp 'cube'

Applied modified 15-m fringe plots. Plots are shown.
CALIB Solint = 2

2-min CALIB for Noto. Plot is shown.
CALIB Solint = 7

7-min CALIB for VSOP. Plot is shown.
CLCAL interp 'cube'
3,4
6,7
4,5

Applied CALIB results sequentially
CLCOR ante 1,0 HH
clcor = 34,0
ante 2,0 NT
clcor = 34,0
ante 3,0 VSOP
clcor = 120,0

These values chosen to make 2251+158 = 8 Jy and J2236+28 = 1.3 Jy at 100 Mlambda; and VSOP baselines have about equal amplitude. Accuracy no better than 20\%

Comments on Difmap processing
Difmap only used for imaging and modelfitting. All calibrations done in AIPS. Able to drag out faint VSOP fringes.
