Images and relating data on the analysis of asteroid Ryugu used in the paper "Spectrally blue hydrated parent body of asteroid (162173) Ryugu" by Tatsumi et al. (2021).

Summary

This archive contains images and spectral data of asteroid Ryugu used to produce the the results presented in the paper "Spectrally blue hydrated parent body of asteroid (162173) Ryugu" by Tatsumi et al. (2021). It is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied.

1. ONC-T images

ONC-T images and related files used. General description of the ONC-T data is found at http://darts.isas.jaxa.jp/planet/project/hayabusa2/

All ONC-T images during the mission phase will soon to be available in PDS (https://sbn.psi.edu/pds/resource/hayabusa2/).

ONC-T Level 2d (I/F) images on the polar region observations used in this study

Files are contained in the observation date folders. Each file contains 7 band filter images in order of wavelength, i.e. ul, b, v, Na, w, x, and p. Each file is array size of (7, 1024, 1024).

Please refer to Supplementary Table 1 for correspondance of image ids and figures.

ONC-T spectral slope and 0.7-um band depth data used for Fig. 1 and Supplementary Movies

Each file contains spectral feature index images in order of I/F at v-band, b-to-x slope (1/um), 0.7-um band depth, uv-index, photon dose, and photon dose (binned). Each file is array size of (6, 1024, 1024).

2. NIRS3 data used for Figure. 3.

Raw and calibrated NIRS3 data during the mission phase are archived in PDS (https://sbn.psi.edu/pds/resource/hayabusa2/nirs3.html).

data_figure3_N(1).csv: The NIRS3 reflectance spectra normalized at 2.5 um in the panel N=a, b, or c. The first column is the wavelength, the second column is reflectance (black), the third column is the standard deviation (black), the fourth column is the reflectance (red) and the fifth column is the standard deviation (red).

data_figure3_N(2).csv: The NIRS3 continuum removed reflectance spectra in the panel N=a, b, or c. The first column is the wavelength, the second column is reflectance (black), the third column is the standard deviation (black), the fourth column is the reflectance (red) and the fifth column is the standard deviation (red).

data_figure3_N(3)black.csv: The NIRS3 2.7-um band absorption values (black) in the panel N=a, b, or c.

data_figure3_N(3)red.csv: The NIRS3 2.7-um band absorption values (red) in the panel N=a, b, or c.

3. Code used for calculation of photon dose in Figures 4 and 5.

The shape model and kernels used for this study was included in the zip file below. Please refer to README.txt file for more details on using the code. Other SPICE kernels during the mission phase will soon to be available in PDS (https://sbn.psi.edu/pds/resource/hayabusa2/). In need of thermal calculation used in Figure 5 and 6, please contact Naoya Sakatani (sakatani@rikkyo.ac.jp)

Please readme in the file to use the code.
