The SELENE (Kaguya) spacecraft loaded a Gamma-Ray Spectrometer (KGRS) to obtain nuclide information on the lunar surface. It has excellent energy resolution allowing to provide unumbiguous elemental distributions.
The K and Th concentration at around South Pole Aitken in this dataset is obtained by M. Naito et al., JGR under review.
