Hinode SOT-SP Level 2 (vector magnetic field) spectral line inversions
Overview
Description
This is the mirror of Hinode SOT-SP Level-2 data created by HAO.
SOT-SP Level-2 data are the output of a spectral-line inversion scheme.
It contains the vector (three-component) magnetograms and a set of related variables.
They are outputs from spectral line inversions using the HAO “MERLIN” inversion code developed under the Community Spectropolarimetric Analysis Center (CSAC), witch is an HAO/NCAR Strategic Initiative.
Each Level 2 dataset is stored in a FITS file containing 42 extensions, one per inversion parameter or ancillary data product. These FITS files are stored grouped into directories for each commanded SP operation.
The Level 2 FITS extensions are organized as follows:
