It is actively merging along the line-of-sight, with a Bullet-like cool core driving a turbulence-generating shock front ahead of it that has accelerated one of the most powerful radio halos known--a property known to correlate with higher turbulent velocity dispersion. With a single pointing of the center, we aim to measure turbulent line broadening, velocity offsets, and ion temperatures from the lines in the 6.7 keV and 7 keV Fe complexes with Resolve in two regions: one covering the reheated cool core and the other likely dominated by gas moving in the opposite direction. We will also constrain the larger-scale thermodynamic structure of the cluster with Xtend and NuSTAR. | EXTRAGALACTIC DIFFUSE EMISSION AND SURVEYS | 2 | B | DANIEL WIK | USA | 1 | NOR | GAS DYNAMICS IN THE LINE-OF-SIGHT MERGER ABELL 2163 WITH XRISM | processed | https://data.darts.isas.jaxa.jp/pub/xrism/data/obs/rev3/2/201098010/ | WINDOW1 | 1 | Observation Log: No remarks ; Pre-pipeline Log: No remarks |
