In addition to a highly obscured continuum and strong lines from both common and rare elements, the Resolve spectrum obtained in Cycle 1 may contain direct evidence of an extended, highly magnetized corona [priv. comm.]. If the features are not associated with a magnetic corona, they are part of a clumpy v/c = 0.33-0.36 outflow similar to that seen in SS 433. We request a 150 ks exposure in Cycle 2 in order to make a clear, 5-sigma determination of which interpretation is correct. This exposure time will also deliver abundance constraints for rare elements such as Cr and Mn that can be compared to supernova models to understand the progenitor event.
