Whether this holds at the highest feedback levels-contrary to expectations-remains unknown. We propose Resolve observations of the iconic Hercules A, a powerful radio galaxy with 200 kpc jets driving a huge cocoon shock in the ICM. With a jet power of 2x10^46 erg/s, Hercules A far exceeds systems like Hydra A or Perseus, probing unexplored AGN feedback regimes. Our observations will detect velocity dispersion excesses as low as 30 km/s (~200 km/s) at >99.7% significance, testing if powerful outbursts drive stronger turbulence. A single Resolve pointing will also probe condensation models, lobe-gas interactions, and ICM microphysics, maximizing XRISM science return.
