This observation will bring XRISM's coverage of Tycho's SNR to nearly 100%, enabling astronomers to measure Doppler shifts and line widths to obtain constraints on 3D ejecta kinematics across the entirety of the SNR. By comparing ejecta velocities, abundance measurements, and thermal properties across the remnant---particularly those in the SE, a region thaw has a notably distinct morphology as well as two ejecta-rich knots---to the predictions of supernova simulations, we will be able to fully understand the dense material surrounding SNR and place constraints on the wind from the progenitor system.
