This makes it an optimal target for XRISM Cycle 1. Variability in the narrow line component suggests a modest radius and extent, consistent with the optical broad line region. The "broad" Fe Ka component is not extreme and suggests a truncated inner disk and/or one with a warp. We request a 150 ks obs. of Mrk 279 in XRISM Cycle 1 to (1) precisely locate the Fe Ka emission components within the accretion flow, (2) compare the radii and geometries to optical line constraints, (3) test models of warped and/or truncated disks, (4) study ionized winds in emission.
