The combination of XRISM and the already available broad-band (spectro-polarimetric) X-ray dataset, along with the possibility to extend the self-consistent modelling down to the sub-mm band, will offer an unprecedented view of the geometrical and physical properties of the torus. Moreover, the XRISM spectrum will allow us to measure the properties of the ionized gas and, together with existing soft X-ray high-resolution spectra, understand its origin. State-of-the-art models, developed or specifically adapted by members of the proposing team, will be crucial to leverage the potential of the XRISM spectrum.
