While Resolve (in its GVC status) constrains the abundance of heavier elements (S, Ar, Ca, Cr, Mn, Fe, Ni), lighter elements (O, Ne, Mg, Si) can be constrained with XMM-Newton RGS and EPIC. Unlike other "abundance-friendly" clusters, Abell 2199 exhibits very weak EPIC-RGS abundance discrepancies. Our proposal takes advantage of this and aims for a 220 ks XRISM exposure of the core of A2199. Unleashing the full potential of join RGS-Resolve spectroscopy will boost our understanding of the nature of Type Ia supernovae progenitors and ICM enrichment.
