Both of these objects, 0509-68.7 (N103B) and 0519-69.0 are young (<1000 yrs). These remnants are very well-studied with other observatories, but XRISM observations will allow us to directly measure the ion temperature of various species, determine the bulk velocity of the ejecta products, measure elemental abundances of both ejecta and the surrounding medium, and search for new spectral features. We request 125 ks for N103B and 300 ks for 0519-69.0.
