The hard X-rays of magnetars become weaker but harder for older objects. In order to accomplish this picture, we have to verify that this correlation is rather free from selection effects, and holds even when the sources vary on long time scales. Here we propose a 70 ks observation of SGR 1806-20. If we detect the hard X-rays from this source at a rather intensity, the above correlation will be much reinforced.
