About HALCA

HALCA (MUSES-B), the first astronomical satellite dedicated to Very-Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI), was launched on its maiden flight by ISAS's M-V launch vehicle from Kagoshima Space Center on February 12, 1997. HALCA was the main player of the VLBI Space Observation Programme (VSOP).

Requests when using VSOP Data / VSOP Standard Acknowledgments

If you are preparing a scientific paper which uses data from the VSOP mission, please include the following text in the Acknowledgments:

"We gratefully acknowledge the VSOP Project, which is led by the Japanese Institute of Space and Astronautical Science in cooperation with many organizations and radio telescopes around the world."
