However, all those samples are young SNRs (ages about 300-2000 yr). G156.2+5.7 is an old SNR (age about 10^4 year), but emits hard X-rays in addition to usual thin thermal emission (about 0.5 keV temperature). We propose a Suzaku observation on a center region of this SNR, where diffuse hard X-rays were detected with ASCA and XMM. Our primary objective is to determine whether or not the hard tail is synchrotron X-rays, and study cosmic-ray acceleration in this old SNR.
