Some of these progenitors are expected to significantly modify ambient medium around them prior to SN explosions. A standard Type Ia SNR model, a white dwarf explosion in a uniform ambient medium, fails to account for bright Fe-rich ejecta and faint blast waves seen in majority of Type Ia SNRs in the Magellanic Clouds. A promising explanation involves presence of dense circumstellar medium (CSM) around their progenitors. We propose a Suzaku study of 4 mature Type Ia SNRs in the LMC, with the goal of determining chemical abundances, temperatures and ionization ages within their ejecta. This will allow us to construct dynamical SNR models, and learn about their CSM and progenitors.
