Prior X-ray studies are limited to a 14 ks ROSAT PSPC observation producing about 500 counts. We expect about 12,000 counts with Suzaku, which should permit basic characterization of the spectrum and morphology of X-rays: shell-type, mixed-morphology (central thermal emission) or even composite (central PWN). Spectral analysis will allow us to determine or estimate shock speed, age, ambient density, and swept-up mass. As more middle-aged remnants are found to have unusual properties such as GeV-TeV emission, the study of objects like G18.8+0.3 assumes greater importance.
