Observed column density shows that this plasma is located in the galactic center region. Assuming the distance of 8 kpc, the size of the plasma is 40 pc x 120 pc. Then, the estimated total energy of the plasma reaches 8e51 ergs. What is the engine creating such a energetic plasma ? Moreover, the ionization temperature of this plasma is larger than the electron temperature (over-ionized plasma). This condition is peculiar in the standard heating mechanism of a plasma. What is the origin of the over-ionized plasma ? Since the previous Suzaku observation covers only a part of the plasma, we propose the observation of the other part for the further investigation. | GALACTIC DIFFUSE EMISSION | 5 | A | SHINYA NAKASHIMA | JAP | 7 | AO7 | OBSERVATION OF THE LARGE PLASMA IN THE THE SOUTHERN GALACTIC CENTER | XIS | Y | https://data.darts.isas.jaxa.jp/pub/suzaku/ver3.0/507028010/ | Quick Look |
