We will test the prediction that prolific star formation is responsible for the soft X-ray emission from a Compton thick AGN that also contains a powerful circumnuclear starburst. The AGN's deep obscuration facilitates the soft X-ray measurements, and Compton thick AGN are generally significant, both as a large fraction of the local AGN population and for their contribution to the X-ray background. Furthermore, we will use the direct measurement of the intrinsic AGN luminosity to test unified AGN models and the validity of indirect luminosity indicators.
