In these sources, the spin of the black hole can be constrained directly through fits to the relativistic iron line. A sample of excellent spectra from well-chosen AGN will facilitate a better understanding of the innermost regime near to black holes, and make correlations with parameters like radio luminosity, star formation rate, and galaxy and black hole mass possible for the first time.
