Unsatisfied with this apparent contradiction, we seek Suzaku observations with two main aims. First, high energy observations with the HXD can reveal whether a deeply buried AGN is present above 10 keV. Second, the XIS observations will probe sensitively for short time-scale variability below 10 keV, the detection of which would establish unambiguously that the objects have genuinely unobscured nuclei and rule out the alternatives of scattered light or X-ray binaries.
