We propose to observe the hard X-ray brightest and low-mass (1.6e6 Msolar) Seyfert 2 galaxy NGC 454 selected from the Swift BAT survey. The data will be used (1) to measure broad-band X-ray spectrum and its variability, (2) to compare them with properties of known Seyferts, and (3) to search for variation of absorption to constrain the structure and origin of obscuring matter.
