The scaling relations and their deviations from self-similar model predictions due to non-gravitational processes are also important for modeling the cluster selection function for cosmology. We propose to observe a uniform sample of z~0.6 galaxy clusters, selected from the Swift archival data and confirmed by multi-band optical data, using Suzaku to better characterize their X-ray properties such the X-ray luminosity and temperature. With this sample, we are able to model the selection functions relatively easily and place cleaner and tighter constraints on the evolution of X-ray properties of galaxy clusters.
