The All-Sky X-ray maps, created using data from the Gas Slit Camera (GSC) aboard the MAXI mission, span 11 years from 2009 to 2020. These maps provide comprehensive coverage of the X-ray sky.

The pseudo-color all-sky map produced by the GSC visualizes X-ray brightness in different energy bands: blue for 2.0−4.0 keV, green for 4.0−8.0 keV, and red for 8.0−16 keV. The data used for these maps have undergone exposure correction and artificial background subtraction.

The images look apparently dim/bright in order to adjust the color scale for bright/faint sources.

DATA Formats

Data is provided in FITS format as follows.

• Primary Header
  Binary image in Aitoff-Hammer projection using Galactic coordinates, with units of counts cm^-2 sec^-1.

• Secondary Header
  HEALpix image data array in Equatorial coordinates, using NESTED ordering and an NSIDE of 128. TheCNTS columns indicate the X-ray intensity of emissions, also in counts cm^-2 sec^-1.
